The “Made to Save” campaign was made to address COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy among BIPOC and Latinx communities. The spot “Carla,” which is inspired by a true story, follows nurse practitioner Carla Brown, who lost her husband to COVID-19 in 2020. Brown honors his memory by helping to vaccinate the elderly, the homebound and those who don’t have access to a close vaccine site in her community of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. “I’m on a personal mission to get as many people as I can to receive this vaccine,” Brown says. “It was made to save us.”
